Greater Flamingo Phoenicopterus ruber

Walvis Bay, Namibia

  These Greater Flamingo’s were quite abundant at the right salt pans. We also saw a few Lesser Flamingos which were not as common in the areas we visited. Unfortunately these were too far for decent photos but both species were great to see none the less. Both juveniles and adults shown in images below.

a
