African Elephant Loxodonta Africana

Zambesi River, Zambia

Monday 7th May 2007

 We were on a small boat safari watching an African Finfoot when 3 Elephants left the bank and swam across the river right next to us. We followed in the boat and watched as they came out on the opposite bank of the Zambesi. One Elephant showed his displeasure at our following by stamping his feet, snorting and throwing soil over his head.
