The Dundee eagle owl was sitting high up in fir trees viwed from the lock up garages in Graham Terrace this afternoon.

8 waxwings in trees at the junction of Cortachy Road & Woodend Drive today, early afternoon. 120+ Bramblings at Cassieend Smiddy on Kinnordy estate feeding on beech mast.
2 Green Woodpeckers, Jays, Siskins, GS Woodpecker and Woodcock at Lintrathen Loch this afternoon.

2nd winter Iceland Gull again tonight, off Sailing Club, looks like the same individual that was at the east end of the loch a couple of nights ago. SRG

Forfar loch sat 28th most of loch frozen flock of about 12 greenfinch single magpie by boat house. Sat afternooon ringed dipper by elliot bridge (silver red right leg yellow red on left). Sun 29th "Coastal location" single magpie also 8 buzzard pair of peregine male kestrel few pairs of fulmar at peregrine site

Bean Geese

Old hat now I know but two Bean Geese (Fabalis) with pink-feet just south of Ferryden (near Barns of Craig) yesterday.

Singles each of 2nd winter, 3rd winter, and adult Iceland in the gull roost off the sailing club tonight, between about 4.20 and 5.10pm. The 3rd winter bird is new in tonight, cheers, SRG

31 Jan 2012 In todays Courier. The Eagle Owl seen around Dundee are has now been captured and taken to the Falconry at Cluny, Fife regardsm Mickey

Montreathmont Forest - approx. 2:30pm - 30th Jan

Loads of coal tits and siskin at the feeders. Also a handful of blue, great and long tailed tits. GS Woodpeckers (at least 3), robins, dunnocks, blackbirds, chaffinches, a male bullfinch, a red squirrel and, what I believe is, a mealy redpoll. Picture link below.

More Iceland Gulls - 3rd winter at plough in fields to north of Padanaram this morning, just to south of Balinshoe Farm (looked v like, and probably was, the 3rd w from Forfar Loch last night).
Forfar Loch this evening, Tues 31st Jan - Large nos gulls off the sailing club included 4 Icelands (an adult, a 2nd winter, and two juv/1st winters,) 4-5PM. SRG
