March 24th GREAT GREY SHRIKE ETC.

Mar. 24th. 12-15 GREAT GREY SHRIKE On Right hand side of Barry Buddon Cycle Track at Monifieth End
It did fly off high with undulating flight going West -- Also seen on my First Walk since my Hernia Operation - 2 STONECHATS - 1 GREY PARTRIDGE ( FIRST SIGHTING OF THIS SPECIES ON B/B FOR AGES )
1 MAGPIE - SONG THRUSH Singing its Spring Song ! SKYLARKS doing display flight - Enjoyed the Walk !

Male Marsh Harrier over Kinnordy Loch this afternoon....also Snipe, Pintail, Ringed Plover and first Water Rails heard this year.
Great Grey Shrike still in clearing at Montreathmont Wood, also Crossbills & Green Woodpeckers.
Black Swan at Lurgies and Puffins, Fulmars, Razorbills and my 1st Guillemots this year at Auchmithie.

?Snow Bunting under the feeder In my garden (Balgavies) this afternoon
Probably imm. male from what I see in various pics -
Clear white head/neck
Pale brown streaky mantle/back
Plain pale buff throat/chest/belly
Any other possibilities?

Loch of Kimnnordy - Male MARSH HARRIER passed thru going South - plus 2 OSPREYS seen in forenoon -

Loch of Balgavies - 2 OSPREYS seen Dive Bombing GREYLAG GOOSE SITTING ON EYRIE ! All to no avail !!!

In the grounds of Ninewells Hospital today (27th) lunchtime - Chiffchaff, Great-Spotted Woodpecker, Treecreeper, 2 Buzzards - along with usual
blue tits, great tits, chaffinch, robin, blackbird etc. We also have an almost daily visit from a big female Sparrowhawk, who brings
her lunch (usually pigeon) and eats it outside the window of the lab I work in - fascinating to watch!

Glen Prosen - 7 Wheatears,5 Kestrels and good numbers of peewits,curlew,oystercatchers,pipits and pied wagtails and flock of about 20 Fieldfares

Nice views of a White tailed see eagle today just north of Dundee,I'm sure it was having a good look at some of our livestock because it circled the house a few times after about 10 minutes it headed north towards the glamis area.
