Re Peregrine

Postby Dave Adam » Tue Nov 26, 2013 7:24 pm

[quote="balbridie"]Male Peregrine feeding on what looked to be an imm. Common Gull in the car park at the Coop in Brechin today at 14.15 approx. Can't say if it had killed the Gull but it was tucking in and paying little attention to the cars and shoppers going by. I watched it from the car for around 5 mins, went into the shop and when I came out it had gone and a Coop employee was disposing of the remains of the prey into a Coop plastic bag.

There is a resident female Peregrine in Brechin. It hunts the numerous Feral Pigeons in the city.

Thanks Dave. I assumed it was a male perhaps wrongly but the meal was certainly a gull. I walked by when the Coop person was putting it in the bag, the head was missing but everything else said gull.
