No sign of reported Hooded Merganser darke at Kingoodie today up till 1600hrs with Jon and Graham. The bird was seen "this morning" and reported on Birdguides at 1338hrs. Graham will keep an eye out in case it turns up, maybe worthwhile having a look around pools in and around Dundee, especially if it's an escapee!

Little Stint, still at East Haven today, in shallow pool formed where the burn flows into the beach, in front of the car park. It's very unwary and will readily approach if you remain still.
Also on Webs Count, 2nd winter Mediterranean Gull, 15 Bar-tailed Godwits (unusually high), 1 Kingfisher, 1 Knot, 2 Grey Plover, 5 Lesser Black-backed Gulls and rare on the beach, 2 Greenfinches.

The Little Stint was still at East Haven this morning, 1030 hrs. The pool has become larger and is nearly blocking the path, that means walkers, (read dogs) are coming too close and the Stint is flying off down the beach, only to be lost amongst the seaweed.

Photo from Sunday, linked from my blog where there are many more!!

The 2 Slav grebes were still around today from SWT centre, seen between 12 and 2 pm though they spent more time underwater than above! Also a GC Grebe and a Guillemot. Over 4000 wigeon now present and a few Pintail and Whooper swans have started to appear in the past week.

Mains of Usan, 6 Grey Partridges. Snipe flushed from round bales behind farm buildings. Photo checked, not the Jack Snipe reported seen this morning on Birdguides.

Monikie: No sign of the Slavonian Grebe today, but possible it was roosted somewhere in the strong wind.

On the North Pond along with about 22 Little Grebe was a female Scaup, originally I thought it showed signs of being a hybrid but after checking it looks to be within normal variation.
