Blue Pheasants at Boddin

Postby Alex Shepherd » Fri Oct 19, 2012 8:20 pm

I know there are many variations of pheasants but I can't recall blue ones. This one was one of four along with a normal looking female which I assume have just been released into the wild near the railway bridge at Boddin. I first assumed my camera was causing the blue but a search on the net confirmed blue pheasants. This photo was submitted to test my account access.
Also at Boddin, 1 Kestrel and six Rock Pipits in the shelter of the cliffs by the old boats, I've never seen this many together before.
