At Montrose Basin, from Old Montrose Pier - 3 Barnacle Geese, 1 Pale Bellied Brent and 1 Ruddy Shelduck. 1630hrs.

September 27th. 11-30am/ BRENT GEESE 2 Pale Bellied - On foreshore along Arbroath Esplanade opposite the turn off to the Left to go up to West Seaton Farm -- very close inn .

Sept, 27th 12-30pm / BLACKCAP 1 Male - WILLOW WARBLER 1 - DIPPER Ring on Right Leg Along Craig Mill Den Carnoustie .
September 27th 9-30 am. KINGFISHER 1 DIPPER Juv. 1 at Elliot Bridge Arbroath - Opposite where Arbirlot Trail begins

Spotted Redshank on N most pool by Wigeon Hide, spotted at high tide by a chap doing some research for SNH. Have yet to get out to see it myself (no decent excuses, just busy!).....so not sure if it is still there....worthy of a try at high tide.

RSPB Loch of Kinnordy

13 Canada geese landed at the east end today also a tawny owl sitting left of the gullery hide looking in. Great looking bird I haven't seen one in years.

Around 120 Barnacle Geese heading South over Arbroath, 1630hrs.

Spotted Redshank at the Lurgies this morning.

2 Pintail, 2 Brent Geese, and 1 Barnacle Goose from Visitor Centre.

30th SEPTEMBER 2009 White-tailed Eagle Lunan Bay

Juvenile White-tailed Eagle flew north over Lunan Den NO694525 at 3.20pm, then back south to Lunan village where it turned inland pursued by a horde of angry Rooks & gulls.
