Monday 26th October.

1 Black Redstart flying between the barn and garden wall at Piper's Cottage at Haughs of Benholm at approx 3.00. I know this is not really Angus, apart from the post code, but thought it might be of interest to members north of the N Esk.

OCTOBER 2009 BIRD SIGHTINGS - Yellow-legged gull

Postby joncook » Tue Oct 27, 2009 6:30 pm

The trail on this is probably a bit cold, but I recently had a report of a Yellow-legged gull in Dundee City Centre. It was seen bin raking early September on Murraygate about half way between the entrance to Peter Street and the junction of Murraygate and Panmure Street, fairly close to the Orange shop. Being a Scottish Records Committee bird and a tricky one at that, it would need a detailed description and probably photos for acceptance, so perhaps worth going fully equipped next time in town. Any further sightings please post and let me know.
