Juvenile Glaucous Gull, first seen today by Simon returned to Gourdon Harbour at 1412, flew north then returned at 1430. The last one stayed around and this one is sitting in the same place on the roof of a white two storey fish merchants building next to the restaurant.

Black-necked Grebe - Elie Harbour

Postby Alex Shepherd » Thu Apr 19, 2018 11:42 pm

Something for the weekend?

A Black-necked Grebe has been in and around Elie Harbour for some time now and today it showed very well just to the south of the Yacht Club. Also Sandwich Terns, a Gannet and nearby at Ruddons Point a Whimbrel, Puffin, Red-throated Diver, Long-tailed Duck and a large flock of Scoter but no Surf Scoter at low tide.

Video of the Grebe taken at 0845 on Thursday morning, https://youtu.be/jOyw3Jmhf-U
