Just got my new Canon 30D and itching to use it, decided to practice down at the Arbroath Harbour. Black-Headed Gulls are far from rare, but made good “in flight” practice. Pleased with the first shot considering it was the first time I had used the camera. Impressed also with the fast shutter capabilities, although the good weather and light conditions certainly helped. Also helpful was the 5 shots a second capability of the camera. It meant that I captured at least the odd shot with the flight frozen decently...it also meant that I had to sift through the better part of 300 shots...still, musn’t grumble.
Photos taken with a Canon EOS 30D and a Canon 75-300mm Lens.
