Isabelline Shrike Lanius isabellinus

Maryton, Montrose Basin, Angus, Scotland

Tuesday 25th October 2005

I was gutted when I heard about this Issy Shrike...I was on my hols, birding in Cambridge and Norfolk. Hadn’t seen a lot to write home about and back home there was a first for the county right on my doorstep. 3 days later I got home and despite the 8 hour drive just went straight to Montrose. Luckily it was still there and good light too. Nice find Richard Bramhall!

Digiscoped with a Nikon Coolpix 995 and a Swarovski 80HD Scope.
