Mediterranean Gull Larus melanocephalus

Arbroath Esplanade & Elliot Beach, Angus, Scotland

Friday 8th July 2005

This handsome summer plumaged Med Gull stuck around for quite a while, so you could watch it through the various moulting stages. The silver ring on the left leg indicates that it is a bird from the continent and not a UK bird.

Digiscoped with a Nikon Coolpix 995 and a Swarovski 80HD Scope.
