Seen from the 8X bus en route Ninewells at around 8am at the large 'pool' in a field near the Highland Coos on Riverside Drive, Dundee past the airport along towards Invergowrie, were a larger variety than usual - lots of Oystercatchers, some Curlews, a small group of smaller waders (Redshank?), a couple of Shelduck, some woodpigeons and some Black Headed Gulls and a few crows. On the way back tonight the smaller waders (probably Redshank) were into double figures (at least 20, I'd say). Usually see a pair of Mute Swans and the odd Mallard there, and have seen Dunlin there in the past. Apologies for the vagueness but the driver had his foot down, as its a long straight at that point, but I always make a point of having a look to see what's there.
Worth a wee look if you're passing on foot/cycle, or park in Invergowrie and walk along.
