Species: Iceland Gull, Little Plover, Marsh Harrier, Red KIte, etc.
Details: 10:30am Near Fern - about 35x Fieldfares in grass roadside field.
12:15pm Kinnordy Gullery Hide - Male and Female Marsh Harrier displaying well from Gullery Hide, Kinnordy. Little Plover (on bog bean Island), Osprey, Water Rail (to the right of the hide) all showing well also this lunchtime.
Swallow also near Alyth this PM.
Red Kites at an Angus Location.
4:00pm - Pair of Osprey flying low between Maryton and Kirriemuir over road and over horse fields. Being mobbed by gulls.
6:10pm - Juvenile Iceland Gull still showing well at Inchcape Park, Arbroath. To the right of the harbour break water wall.

Details: 9:00am - Juvenile Iceland Gull still showing well at Inchcape Park, Arbroath. To the right of the harbour break water wall.
Still present at 3pm. And also at 8pm in lovely evening light.
Female Wheatear in fields near West Grange of Conon early this pm.

16th Apr nice walk alon Easthaven to Hatton. Pheasant, Collared Dove, Songthrush, Green Finch, Starling, Skylark, Herring Gull, Hedge Sparrow, Woodies, Crow, House Sparrow, Robin, Blue tit, Magpie, Cormorant, Oyster Catcher, Red Shank, Eider, Curlew, Lesser Black Back, Reed Bunting, Grey Heron, Pied Wag, Shelduck, Meadow Pipit, Teal, Wheatear, Mallard, Yellow Hammer, Gold Finch, Black Bird. Arbroath Harbour at 11.20 Iceland Gull still there and pointed out to visitors, 11.30 turned round and it had gone, out to feed i hope.

30 Knot and 1 Purple Sandpiper at Inchcape Park end of harbour

Species: Grey Wagtail, Treecreeper, Dipper, House Martins and Swallows

Details: St Vigeans Nature Trail, 2 Dipper pairs, 3 Grey Wagtail pairs, 5 Treecreepers, Mistle Thrush, Song Thrush, Teal, 3 Reed Bunting and a Buzzard amongst others.

Inchcape Park, 2 House Martins this morning as well as the Iceland Gull.

Keptie Pond, 1 Chiffchaff and 2 Swallows this evening.

Cuckoo, Modlach, Glenesk

A male Cuckoo at Modlach in Glenesk on Friday 17/4/2015, NO 52587 78030 flew from fence at Modlach road end, also Tree Pipit at same location. Sand Martins at nest site nearby.

Haughend (old Army Huts), 6 Swallows, 1 Osprey, 1 Raven, 1 Jay, 5 Grey Wagtails, 2 pied Wagtails, 2 Willow Warblers, Song and Mistle Thrushes.

East Migvie, 3 Red Grouse, 1 Wheatear and a Snipe calling.

No sign at Edzell Airfield of Rough-Legged Buzzard.

Iceland Gull still at Inchcape Park, Arbroath at 1645 along with 16 Purple Sandpipers, Turnstones and Redshank.

1 Whimbrel at Easthaven between there and Craigmill Burn and a possible White Wagtail, I hope it will still be there on the Webs count tomorrow. White Wagtails (3) confirmed by Jon (photos).

Also 7 Bar-tailed Godwits, 2 Purple Sandpipers, 1 Dunlin, 2 Shelduck, 1 Wheatear, 1 Shag, 7 Turnstones, 37 Oystercatchers, 9 Redshanks, 3 Cormorants, 4 Reed Buntings and a Buzzard.

Male Dipper and a pair of Grey Wagtails on the Brothock most days near the "blue toilets" upstream from the Old Brewhouse, Iceland Gull still sleeping at Inchcape Park.

Sunday April 20th Inchcape Park / Harbour Wall Arbroath area - 1 ICELAND GULL 1st Winter - very obliging and is now bearing Yellow Ring on Right leg and small metal ring on right leg.

Species: Common Sandpiper, Woodcock, Grey Wagtail

Details: Walk from Haughend (old army huts) up the south bank of the North Esk to Millden and return by the road a distance of 12km. 12 Common Sandpipers (10 single, 1 pair). 17 Grey Wagtails, c30 Pied Wagtails, Lapwings, Redshank, Curlew, 13 Mistle Thrush, 5 Song Thrush, 1 Kestrel, 1 Buzzard, 1 Raven, 2 Goosander, 2 Wigeon, Meadow Pipits, 7 Willow Warblers, 3 Reed Bunting males, Jackdaws, probable nest site with c200 mostly Common Gulls, Oystercatchers, House Martins, Sand Martins, Swallows, no Dippers. Finally on a cricket oval in Millden House grounds 4 Woodcock feeding in the open on the outfield mid afternoon!!

Club Trip to St Vigeans, Sunday 26th

A recce today for the above trip proved fruitful with 7 Willow Warblers, 3 Treecreepers, Teal, Grey Wagtail including one with colour rings, Dippers, Song Thrush, Mistle Thrush, Blue, Coal, Great and Long-tailed Tits, Reed Bunting, Buzzard, Jay, Grey Heron and more.

24th April. Works back of Gayfield and Bowling Alley areas causing problems. Bowling Alley 3 Swallows, 2 Sandwich terns and normal gulls. Harbour Iceland Gull asleep on harbour wall.

Riverside Nature Park this afternoon (Saturday 25/4/15) 1310-1700.

Blackbird, Blackcap, Black Headed Gull, Black Tailed Godwit, Blue Tit, Carrion Crow, Chaffinch, Chiffchaff, Common Gull, Cormorant, Curlew, Gadwall, Goldfinch, Great Tit, Herring Gull, House Sparrow, Jackdaw, Lesser Black Backed Gull, Linnet, Long Tailed Tit, Magpie, Mallard, Meadow Pipit, Mute Swan, Oystercatcher, Pied Wagtail, Redshank, Reed Bunting, Feral Pigeon, Shelduck, Skylark, Snipe, Stock Dove, Swallow, Teal, Wheatear, Willow Warbler, Woodpigeon.

The Gadwall is the 137th species seen in/from the park since it opened in June 2011. Five of these ducks today - pair on Lochan and 3 at burn outflow. (They had been seen a few weeks ago during the dawn chorus event at the park but I only found out a day or so ago, but it was good to see them still around). No sign of Lesser Whitethroat yet (or Common).

A good day out but rain stop play. Total 49 Birds.
