Peach-faced Lovebird - Kinnordy Estate 10/09/2006

Postby Alan Leitch » Mon Sep 11, 2006 10:02 am

Peach-faced Lovebird
A single bird hanging around Kinnordy Estate since late August. Perhaps the offspring of the pair that bred in Lothian in the 90's... (Ah, but it has a single red ring...let us presume an escape) - Interesting all the same.

Anyone lost a LOVEBIRD or Pelican for that matter...

Cheers Alan

MONDAY 11th September 2006 - White Pelican

Postby Mark Caunt » Tue Sep 12, 2006 12:11 am

Date & Time: MONDAY 11th September 2006
Species: White Pelican
Location: Thought Id check out the Pelican and see what all the fuss was about! Seen at Balmossie, Dighty Burn Mouth at 4:00 to 5:15pm but present all day.
Not wild (in my opinion!) but great that a bird has conjured so much interest. So many people coming to see it whilst I was there that clearly were not usually birdwatchers!
So good on it for that. Now wheres this Love Bird...
