Sunday 2nd November, 2008 - Barry Buddon cycle track 11 am - Dave Winter.

Excellent views of party of crossbills feeding along the first high bank of conifers on the golf course next to the rail tracks - a buzzard landed on the fairway - pair of stonechats at side of track - magpie perched on small conifer at start of track just after the Monifeith car park, are they becoming common here Bob?

At least 6 Water Rails heard at Rescobie while kayaking round the loch. Best concentration is on the north side reed beds although seeing them, even while on the water, is very difficult.
