Could anyone tell me the status of Tree sparrows in Tayside/perthshire. We have around 20 birds
which regularly visit our garden feeders - is this unusually high or normal numbers?

Re: Tree sparrows
Hi Neil,
Cant speak for Perthshire, but in Angus & Dundee Tree Sparrows tend to occur in small scatterred colonies across most of the lower lying areas. Did have a BirdTrack distribution map, but the system wont let me attach it. Counts are usually from 1 - 20, with occassional flocks of up to 100 on winter feed crops.

Thanks, Jon. Seem to be flourishing well in our area.
