Red-necked Grebe
The Red-necked Grebe at Lintrathen was seen by many this morning from both hides, but nobody to my knowledge found the Green-winged Teal or American Wigeon up until lunchtime. Definitely seemed to be less Wigeon and especially Teal around today at the hide end of the loch.
Red-necked Grebe video below, distant and outwith the reach of a still.

Re: JANUARY 2017 ANGUS BIRD SIGHTINGS
17 Waxwings reported on Birdguides at the railway bridge over the A92 just south of Inverkeilor on Saturday 28/1/2017, seems to be a recurring site for Waxwings with berry bushes at the roadside to the north.

Green-winged Teal, Balgavies
The Green-winged Teal drake was still sitting on the ice near the island this afternoon at Balgavies. At dusk the ice was thawing quickly so it could end up nearer to the hide or disperse around the loch. The warden is aware of rats coming to the feeders and is taking action. The new bridge is in place and access to the car park and loch paths is restored.
