Woodcock was a nice visitor to the garden feeder in Roundyhill yesterday

Male Merlin this morning south of kirriemuir at pluckerston farm.
This afternoon at Castleton of Eassie in a field being ploughed next to my workplace were 3 Grey Herons, 6 Buzzards and 4 Lapwing all feeding on worms brought to the surface by the plough. 30+ Fieldfare also present.

27/11/2010 Tetrad NO64M tarrybank area A92 Montrose road. Normal stuff but had also a flock of 21 Brambling, my biggest amt ever, and 20 Whooper swans adults and Cygnets

today on feeders in garden ( Northmuir )
16 chaffinch
2 brambling
16 house sparrow
4 yellowhammer
1 GS woodpecker
7 goldfinch
5 siskin
6 blackbird also dunnock, wren, blue tit, coal tit, greenfinch, great tit, woodpigeon, collared dove, jackdaw, robin and 4 fieldfare very briefly.

Friday 26th November. Bridgend of Lintrathen, large flock of Brambling & Chaffinch feeding in the field next to the road. Kinnordy Loch, Bullfinch, Treecreeper & the usual Tits Also the Red Squirrel was showing well.

Several hundred Brambling in the Daffodil field just South of the Gannochy bridge beside Edzell.
Also superb Black back gull in the river just below the bridge and lots of salmon spawning in the river.

29/11/2010 RM Condor East 626430 Weather atrocious but worth venturing out. 40 Snipe, 3 Jack snipe, 1 woodcock, Kestrel in tree looking for food, Sparrowhawk diving through the trees looking for a victim, Gulls on the airfield scraping around. All the small birds seem to be hiding

A short walk around Inverkeilor in between the blizzards,Several hundred Pink foots,female Sparrowhawk,Kestrel being harried by rooks and over the Kirk two Red Kites at around 14.00 hours

Aother walk round Inverkeilor,seems we are surrounded by Pink Footies.Saw my first Woodcock in the village,near the railway at 15.00

Tue 30 Dec had a walk around Condor. Buzzards chasing everything they could find as rabbits gone to ground. 7 male blackbirds with black beaks but no rings, Plenty of Woodies and Crows but soon hid as Buzzards came around, few Chaffinches, Blue tits, lots of Robins but the walke was cut short when blizzard moved in
