Watching a raven in Angus today and I'm sure it had 2 wing tags on just couldn't get close enough to see if it was tags or deformed feathers.

Am busy with BTO nest recording scheme at present and it seems to be an early season:-
26/4 Carnoustie High School - blackcap nest with 4 eggs, amazing how soon they breed after returning.
25/4 Elliot mouth - migrant male ring ousel. Woods inland - treecreeper feeding small young (had 5 eggs on 12/4)
24/4 Carnoustie golf course - 6+ redpoll
18/4 Monifieth/Panmurefield - 3 goldfinch nests with 2,4 and 5 eggs. goldfinch are also nesting early in England.
1st willow warbler (late this year) of year and 3 blackcap holding territory
12/4 in the Glens - 2 ring ousel nest building
