Mediterranean Gull, Arbroath
An adult Mediterranean Gull was present in the outer harbour at Arbroath near to the repair slip bridge this morning but couldn't be re-located between there and the paddling pool area this morning and again in the afternoon. Maybe it hasn't gone far? Also in Arbroath, at Inchcape Park, 6 Purple Sandpipers, 2 Dippers seen on the Brothock Burn at the bus station and another 2 upstream from Morrisons car park, one appeared to be displaying. A recent check at Elliot at dusk/twilight on 16/1/2016 produced 2 Short-eared Owls hunting over the golf course.

To the attentive eye, each moment of the year has its own beauty, and in the same field, it beholds, every hour, a picture which was never seen before, and which shall never be seen again. --Ralph Waldo Emerson
