Montrose Basin, Shelduck Hide
Glossy Ibis showing well @ 8.25pm - 8.40pm (Sunday 15th May), it then flew back (NW) accross the field and over the bank and down. When flushed it flew to the centre of the basin amongst gulls. Nice bird, lovely plumage and great to see it in flight too.

Glossy Ibis reported at Strathbeg
A Glossy Ibis was reported on BirdGuides at Strathbeg tonight at 2103, perhaps a different bird, but maybe the one various people didn't find today at the Shelduck Hide, 16/5/2016.

Carnoustie Golf Links - Thursday 27th
Despite a cold and windy day at the west end of Carnoustie Golf Links I found 38 species including Blackcap, Willow Warbler, Sedge Warbler, Chiffchaff and if you like the cute ones, the Mute Swan pair in the pond adjacent to the camp have seven duck sized cygnets. The other pair on the lake are still sitting and Sand Martins, Swallows and House Martins were feeding over the fairways and water, also seven singing male Reed Buntings around the links. Two Collared Doves at the practice course car park are the first I've seen on the links. An early morning or evening stroll around the links on a warmer day would reveal many more singing and food collecting birds. Again if anyone records a list then please send the details to me at my email on the right to add to the data being collected by a few club members or enter into Bird Track. Records are added in the clubs name.
