Lost Tripod

Post by Neil Mitchell »

Sorry, not a sighting but whilst viewing the Bonaparte's gull at Ferryden last Thursday (4th) a Manfrotto tripod was possibly left behind by a visitor. If any anybody saw it or has it then could they call the wildlife centre and we can get in touch with the owner. The centre number is 01674 676336.

Little Owl? east of Rescobie, 29th Dec 2006

Post by Clive McKay »

Just received a description via SOC of a Little Owl seen on the road (B9113) to the east of Rescobie Loch at NO 533 519 at 17:30 on 29th Dec 2006 - presumably a bit west of the Westerton cross-roads. The driver had to stop the car to flush the bird off the road as it appeared to be dazzled by the lights, and it flew off into woodland. Spotty white upperparts and pale underparts seen. Might be worth checking out if the wind and rain ever stop.

Cheers
