Waxwings, Carnoustie
Around 30 - 40 Waxwings frequenting trees at the east end of Newton Road, Carnoustie today, still there at 1600. Assume they've found berries nearby.
Green Sandpiper showed briefly on the Island Pond at Monikie late afternoon, flushed by one of many free running dogs and landed on the island near the pier, then lost in the mist.

Little Auk, Little Egret
One Little Auk north at Whiting Ness ( start of cliffs at Arbroath ) in a 40 minute stint this afternoon, also 2 Shags, 3 Fulmars and 2 Rock Pipits.
The Little Egret at Montrose Basin was very mobile and flew between the lagoon at the top of the Lurgies to the Slunks and then towards the Wigeon Hide, either trying to find shelter or clear water for fishing.
A Kingfisher was in front of the Bank of Scotland Hide at 1130 this morning, a Cormorant was in it's usual pool in front of the centre which re-opens on Friday 10/2/2017 and their Twitter feed says it's open daily from 1030 to 1700.
